Did you know that if every member entered just one of our open exhibits at Gallery 402 each year, OIA would have enough money for operating expenses for two months? And did you know that if we had fifty more members and each member entered one artwork in a show at Gallery 402, the total of membership renewals plus entry fees would pay our rent for an entire year? Think abut it.

For the price of a movie plus refreshments you can exhibit your work, attend an artists’ wine and cheese reception, and send announcement cards to invite your friends. This past year we have had many different themed exhibitions and a juried show in Gallery 402, plus many artist-member curated exhibitions in our external locations.

OIA is not asking for a donation (not that we wouldn’t like one). We are offering you exposure for your work, a chance to curate your own show, and one year’s membership in a busy, vital, and growing organization. OIA is actively seeking new exhibition spaces and opportunities for our members. We are launching a new, expanded website with links to members’ sites, more information and articles of interest to our members. We’re planning member get-togethers so that we can share mutual interests and information. The first one will be held one evening in early August.

Take advantage of all your membership opportunities now. If your membership is up, please renew it promptly. If you haven’t exhibited yet in Gallery 402 (and even if you have) please send or bring in the enclosed entry form for our last show of the season, People Places and Things. From portraits and travel photography to still life and abstraction, this show offers the artist flexibility and creativity. Let us see submissions from our members that are unique, thought-provoking, and simply stunning.
