OIA offers ongoing opportunities for exhibiting and curating exhibitions at our external spaces.

ONGOING CALLS FOR PROPOSALS

OIA is seeking proposals from professsional artists and curators residing in the US for group shows in public spaces; with a minimum of four artists for each show. All works must be two-dimensional and appropriate for public viewing. The artwork should not contain nudity, violence, strong language, or religious or sexual subject matter. The proposal should include a half-page statement indicating the idea for the show, and a resumé and four examples of work to be shown in the exhibition from each of the artists. (The examples may be slides, xeroxes, photos, etc.) If the proposal is accepted all artists are asked to become members of OIA.

Curators will be responsible for transporting art work to and from the exhibition site and mounting the exhibition. They are also responsible for submitting press releases and for designing the announcement card. OIA may pay some of the expenses for printing and postage of invitations and an artists’ reception but does not provide fine arts insurance.
